Your Work Is Really Not That Important

For the last year I’ve been writing one article every week aiming to help others in their personal and professional development. Recently, I’ve narrowed that focus to those new to leadership roles (and those who aspire to lead).

Today I have zero interest in talking about any of that.

I live in Toronto with my wife and son, and the last 48hrs have made me think of everything except work.  The tragedy that occurred this week has rattled everyone in the city.  The purpose of this post is simple: put down your phone and shut off your laptop. Go and hug your loved ones.  Tell someone you love them.

There are families right now only wishing they could do that.

Love to you all,

Ian
